I Manifested Another Dream!

Almost exactly a month ago, on July 31, I posted something about manifesting three things all at once.

And now I seem to be on a roll! (This blog is working!!!) I'd been wondering what I could do to get the word out in a big way that switching to a vegan diet does more to prevent global warming than driving a hybrid car. I had T-shirts printed up that I gave out on Earth Day a few months ago.

I sent out a newsletter from my online magazine, containing that message, with a note that people can buy these and other items with this message at my online store. I made up postcards with the message, I wrote to Al Gore and PETA and the Vegetarian Union of North America and others, and I made two videos for the CNN/YouTube Debate asking that question of the Democratic presidential candidates (although my videos weren't aired).

And just yesterday a friend sent me an e-mail with a link to the article:

New Ad Push: Vegans Say Eating Meat Is No. 1 Cause of Global Warming. The article, in BrandWeek, links to a longer article in The New York Times detailing the environmental groups and animal rights groups (like Peta) that have joined together to push this message.

I found a way to stay focused!

Like many people, I have too many ideas, and because of that it's hard for me to stay focused. I just found a very cool website that makes it easy to track our goals. It's called Joe's Goals, although the guy who created it is named Ian. And they offer a little blue status box that graphs your stick-to-it-iveness or lack thereof. I've added my Judy's Goals box on the right. So feel free to get on my case if the upward motion of that graph starts flagging!

A Sign in a Synchronicity

I fell asleep last night at around 3 or 4 a.m. while trying to stay awake to listen to the brilliant Stan Tenen talk about fascinating things--connecting quantum computing to ancient Jewish texts and to all three major Western religions plus Buddhism, and to mystical Kabbalah--on the radio show Coast to Coast AM. The show's host, George Noory, said he wished Stan could debate Albert Einstein on his show! I wish that were possible too. Now notice the "manifesting principal" at the very bottom of Stan Tenen's page.

I woke up today with the word ALESK in my head. When I googled it,
I found that it's one of the old Chasidic sects in Russia. And, as you may know, Hassidim are into mysticism and manifestation.

This is a sign that we can indeed manifest our dreams by believing we can.

I got a new notebook!

For something I'm working on. Oh, and those notebook dividers so that I can be "organized" about it.

Nicest Compliment I Ever Got On My Looks

I was on my way to a party this evening and said hi to some neighbors in the parking lot as I went to open my car door. One of the neighbors, an older man, said to me, "You remind me of that actress--Ava Gardner--do you know who she was?"

You could have knocked me over with a feather! She was married to Frank Sinatra and imdb.com says this about her:

Her film career did not bring her great fulfillment, but her looks may have made it inevitable; many fans still consider her the most beautiful actress in Hollywood history.

"What a nice thing to say," I smiled. "You made my day!"

Here's a picture of Ava Gardner.
