Nicest Compliment I Ever Got On My Looks

I was on my way to a party this evening and said hi to some neighbors in the parking lot as I went to open my car door. One of the neighbors, an older man, said to me, "You remind me of that actress--Ava Gardner--do you know who she was?"

You could have knocked me over with a feather! She was married to Frank Sinatra and imdb.com says this about her:

Her film career did not bring her great fulfillment, but her looks may have made it inevitable; many fans still consider her the most beautiful actress in Hollywood history.

"What a nice thing to say," I smiled. "You made my day!"

Here's a picture of Ava Gardner.

Manifesting My Dreams

So far today, three things I wished for or predicted manifested!

In the first one, I wished I could get the mass media to pay more attention to the importance of locally grown produce. Seconds later, as I switched the channel from CNN to NBC, there was a segment on Nightly News with Brian Williams, doing exactly that!

In the second one, the segment announced that New York City would soon be growing gardens on rooftops. Many years ago I wrote to a NYC agency suggesting just that!

In the third one, I had mentioned to someone about a week ago that I had a feeling that age-related macular degeneration was caused by what a person eats--namely processed food (cakes, cookies, white bread, cheese pizza, foods with sugar and corn syrup as ingredients--cooked carbs). And today, there it was in the CNN news scroll, results of a scientific study. Here's a New York Times article on the study that I hadn't seen.

The fact that I'm in the groove of manifesting things makes me very happy!

For my next manifestation, I would like the news media to announce that scientists can now grow a person's own bone from one of their skin cells, bone that can be used for dental implants.

Chocolate

Wow, it's soooo cool that chocolate (raw cacao, I would say) is so good for us, according to various reports. That makes me happy!

A Great Bumper Sticker

I noticed a bumper sticker on a car in the parking lot of my local supermarket today. I looked over at it, thinking it was supporting one of the people running for president. It turned out to say this:

I Love My Wife. (The word "love" was actually a heart.)

I was hoping to see the man whose car that was, to congratulate him. I hope he's the one who put it on the bumper, and not his wife!

Mule Has Baby! This Never Happens!

In this wonderful good news story, a mule has given birth to a baby! Mules, being hybrids, are sterile and incapable of giving birth. So this is some kind of miracle, I'd say! This means your fondest dreams are indeed possible!

In addition, the publication Mules and More is having a name the foal contest.

I'm Getting More Organized!

My good news is that I'm taking a free e-mail course from HGTV (Home and Garden TV) on how to get organized. I'm very excited about this!
